BaByliss Ceramic Pro 230 Straightener for sleek hairstyle at home. Great budget-friendly hair straightener for everyday use.
I have curly hair by nature but I like straight hair more. That’s why I’m obsessed with trying and testing hair straighteners. I have tested the straighter for 6 months. Besides, I went through 400 reviews trying to give you the big picture of Babyliss Pro Ceramic 230 and an honest rating of the appliance. Here’s my review and down below will find users’ top-rated reviews.
BaByliss Ceramic Pro 230 Straightener
I found the Babyliss Ceramic Pro heats up quickly in only 30 seconds (like all Babyliss Hair Straighteners). Its maximum temperature is 230 degrees Celsius which makes it great for all hair types. However, it has only 2 heat settings: 230 degrees celsius for thick curly hair while the lower temperature is for thin and dyed hair. If you are still not sure which temperature to choose, you can go with the low temperature for the starter and upgrade to a higher temperature if it wasn’t enough for your hair type to avoid heat damage. As a general rule, it’s less damaging to apply higher heat for less time than to apply lower heat for a long time.
The two-meter swivel cord is just fine. There are many other Babyliss Straighteners that come with a longer cord but this swivel cord will do the job too.
The rounded barrel of the styler allows you to use it to curl or put waves through your hair, as well as using it as a straightener.
I loved the heat protection mat. It is great for protecting the Babyliss Ceramic pro 230 straighteners before storage.

Babyliss Pro Ceramic 230 Hair Straightener Reviews
“Well made with long cable”
5 out of 5 stars
I loved straightening my hair with Babyliss Pro 230 hair straightener. Small enough to straighten my short hair. It is great for short and medium hair length. The swivel cord helped with straightening my hair in front of the mirror without tangling it inside the straightener plates.
4.5 out of 5 stars
I bought these to replace my Straight and Curl brilliance which seems to have given up the go all of a sudden. My hair is long and thick. The plates are wider than my previous straightener. I use it for straightening and curling my hair. The best thing about it is that it is suitable for travel. I find the different heat settings useful and easy to use. Great straighteners at an affordable price. Arrived the next day of purchase!
“These straighteners are perfect for short hair!”
5 out of 5 stars
I have an inverted Bob hairstyle. My hair is short and thin. The normal-sized straighteners weren’t great for me. I switch them on while I’m drying my hair and they are ready for when I need them. They take only 30 seconds to heat up and you can put it on the heat mat that comes with these straighteners. The handle gets a little hot when you use the Babyliss 230 straightener for a long time.
Note: the ideal hair straightener gets quite hot, but not more than 460 ºF, with clear and granular controls that will help you figure out what temperature your hair needs to straighten without heat damage.

Are ceramic straighteners bad for your hair?
Generally to say, No. Ceramic hair straighteners are nonmetallic inorganic appliance that provides even heat distribution. it stops hot spots from causing heat damage to the hair shaft during hair straightening. however, you shouldn’t use a higher temperature than the recommended heat for your hair. The ceramic plating can chip, exposing aluminum, which can catch, split, and damage the hair. that’s why you should replace your hair straighter every 2-3 years with a new one.
Which hair straightener plate is best?
The best hair straightener plate totally depends on your hair type and thickness:
1. Best For Fine Hair:
Ceramic hair straighteners are the best for fine hair. they smooth and reduce hair frizz. what I also love about Ceramic straighteners is that they provide even heat distribution along with the plates. if your hair is fine, choose hair straighteners with different heat settings. Most ceramic straighteners plates are either ceramic coated, ceramic plate or tourmaline plated or coated. Ceramic plates are the best option for you if you have fine or thin hair.
2. For thick hair
Titanium straighteners heat up in less than 30 seconds and keep the heat consistent. as they maintain a high temperature, they help straighten long thick hair in no time! also, as you use high heat for a shorter period of time, they minimize heat damage.
3. For Curly Hair
Tourmaline straighteners are great for people with curly, frizzy hair, as they’re still effective even if you use them at a lower temperature. You can also pick flat irons with ceramic plates for curly and wavy hair.
4. Best For damaged hair
hot brushes are your best option for people who have damaged or dyed hair, as they distributes the heat evenly and gives a sleek, smooth finish in a short time. Simply turn the brushes on and brush your hair! make sure you use hot brushes on dry hair to minimize the frizz. I recommend using hot brushes that have titanium plates with ionic technology to seal the cuticle while straightening your hair.
I hope you liked my Babyliss Ceramic Pro 230 Straightener review. To get the best results for thick ad long hair, section your hair into small pieces, comb through and place the comb underneath the heated plates glide comb and plates down the hair shaft together slowly. I find these straighteners great for short hair. For longer hair, I recommend Babyliss Elegance 235 Straightener as it has longer plates (28mm).
